Adolf Wölfli

Adolf Wölfli (February 29, 1864 – November 6, 1930) was a Swiss artist renowned for his influential role in the development of outsider art, also known as Art Brut. Born in Bern, Switzerland, Wölfli experienced a childhood marred by poverty and abuse, experiences that profoundly shaped both his art and vision.
