Bernard Essers

Bernard Essers (11 March 1893 – 13 May 1945) was a Dutch painter whose career played a significant role in the dynamic art scene of the early 20th century Netherlands. Essers is recognized as a member of the generation of artists who expanded the reach of modern Dutch art, introducing it to audiences both within the country and beyond its borders.
